JHSC Certification Training

If your company has 20 or more employees, you must, by law, have a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC). Legislation also specifies that one worker and one manager of every JHSC must be trained in the fundamentals of health and safety and both members must be trained in workplace-specific hazards. This training is known as Certification Part One and Certification Part Two.   

Workplace Law Consulting Inc. is an approved provider of the WSIB to teach this program. Call or email  for cost and  scheduling details.

Workplace Law Consulting Inc. is WSIB approved to conduct this program in Ontario. Our instructor’s are experienced and knowledgeable facilitators.  All participants receive reference materials and a certification card sent form WSIB upon successful completion.

Participants will gain the tools to
recognize, assess and control workplace
hazards. Upon completion of Part Two,
students will receive certification by WSIB.

Standard First Aid and CPR Training

Workplace Law Consulting Inc. teaches a program that is regulated and approved by the Toronto EMS First Aid/CPR Program,  the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).

It not only makes good sense to provide first aid training in the workplace, it’s the law!  The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board have regulations related to First Aid requirements know as Regulation 1101

First Aid is a critical part of a company’s emergency response system and occupational health and safety program. First aid can save lives, proper treatment can prevent an injury from becoming more serious and reduce recovery periods.

Human Resources & Health and Safety Consultant Retainer Service

Workwell Audit Assitance

The Workwell program is an audit tool used by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario to implement section 82(1) of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. The Government's purpose for the auditing tool is to identify companies through high claim costs, or frequency, and recoup those costs through fines based on the organization's audit score.

At Workplace Law we provide assistance from start to finish to ensure an employer's Health and Safety programs meet the requirements of the Workwell Audit.

Upon initial workplace assessment we provide a report detailing the cost, effort and time frame needed to meet the WSIB requirements.

How Can We Help?

  • Review and explain the questions in the Audit with your Audit Team
  • Review your current health and safety standards
  • Advise your team on improving your current health and safety standards to the expectations of the WSIB Auditor
  • Conduct mock audits using the Workwell questions

WSIB Claims Management

We provide a comprehensive claims management system that is designed to reduce and control employer’s costs associated with workplace injuries and illnesses. Our pro-active program begins at the point of occurrence and continues to the final resolution of the claim. We analyze accident cost statements in order to determine if cost relief rebates may be obtained for existing claims

WSIB Claims Management Workshop

Learn how to reduce WSIB compensation costs and effectively mange WSIB claims through case studies and sample letter formats. A WSIB Claims Management Resource manual is given to each participant upon completion.
