I attended an online workshop on Employment Standards. We discussed new changes and reviewed current key pieces of the legislation. It was very informative and James was very thorough in his explanation. Open conversation with HR professionals was very much encouraged and the breakout rooms were very well organized and relevant to the subject matter. James went into detail and provided industry examples to help us get a better understanding. I recently attended a Workplace Investigations Training course with Workplace Law Consulting Inc. and it was really well delivered. The course information was informative, relevant/up to date and the instructor was very well educated. There was a good mix of slide deck presentation, breakout rooms and question and answer periods in terms of delivery methods. The course kept me engaged the entire time and I would recommend it to an HR or OHS professional.

This course provided me with valuable information, but I had hoped for more inclusivity in the discussions. The speaker mainly engaged with only a select few, leaving others with limited opportunities to participate. As a diverse HR employee attending the course, I never had the chance to share my challenges in a Canadian workplace. I believe a more inclusive approach to discussions would have enriched the learning experience for everyone involved.

Nice to have a certificate but at $300 a course it would be nice if they taught the full course. Leadership course was only 2/3 finished and in the 6 hour time period they took almost 2 hours in breaks.

The main content was as expected and beneficial.I felt that the start and the end of the program landed a little flat.There were no introductions and it began with the spin of an electronic wheel to select the winner of a WLC gift certificate.The last 20 minutes was a Kahoot quiz and then it was over. No review or room for comments.I absolutely see the need for technology and variety in today's presentations, but don't think it is a substitute for real connection.Overall, the program covered the main points of teaching and training and was the review that I was looking for.

I found the Occupational Health & Safety Management Certificate Course to be very comprehensive and detailed. The facilitators were both excellent and guided us through the program effectively. The course covered an abundance of very usable material and information.If I have one complaint that requires improvement I would comment on the Khoots method for answering the thirty question quiz at the end of the course. I would have prefered to have been given the ability to answer the questions using my laptop. Having to answer the questions using my phone put me at a disadvantage because my phone screen would go to black after ten seconds and I spent more time trying to unlock my phone screen and get back to the question answering screen. This caused a lot of questions to time out and I didn't get to answer all the questions. If we were at least told of how this worked I could have set my phone auto lock to a higher time and avoided this issue altogether . Apart from that the course was excellent and I plan to take more courses through Workplace Law Consulting.

The Workplace Violence and Investigation meeting was very informative. It was more focused to the HR aspects, but lots of things were taken away for my job title that can be useful. The breakout meetings I felt could be a little longer and the if we could have gotten the full story of the situation it would have helped. There were so many holes in the stories to solve that it made it complicated to come up with an honest review with feedback. The investigative material was great and if you could provide the information back to the individuals that participated that would be better for review purposes.

Amazing training session - one of, if not, the most engaging virtual training sessions I have attended. The presenters used a variety of media to keep the audience engaged (a mix of speaking, visuals, videos, case studies, polls, kahoot, breakout rooms, and even a wheel to spin to choose who will answer questions lol). Questions were encouraged and answered thoughtfully - overall I would highly recommend and would take another training from Workplace Law Consulting Inc.

I've had to obtain many certificates over my years in the construction industry. I struggle with a learning disability that can hinder my ability to absorb knowledge. James (my instructor) made sure he went over all the material with me prior to taking the test. He gave me the confidence to pass with flying colors. Many times I have struggled to understand instructors with thick accents and have been negatively impacted as a result. I could understand everything James was saying with total clarity. He even goes above and beyond for the people whom did not speak English well. He took his time and translated all the material into their native language. I'm very impress with this place and James teaching ability. Sarah (new employee) was such a pleasure to deal with. 5 star professionalism and service. I will be returning to complete my Supervisor Competency Training certificate.

Very helpful course. So many great takeaways. For example, what employee engagement is vs what it is not. It is not happiness, a happy workplace, or employee satisfaction, but it is the emotional commitment one has to the organization and the organization's goals.
